13.40 – British Stallion Studs EBF ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle (Div 1) (GBB Race) – 2m2f
An intriguing opener to today’s horse racing tips, with the vote in favour of SOLWARA ONE who could potentially be top-class, given how impressive he was when winning with plenty on hand on hurdles debut.
CASCOVA was highly-tried in bumpers and fared really well when second at Newbury 47 days ago. He should do better here with that all-important experience under his belt.
Selections: SOLWARA ONE, CASCOVA
14.10 – British Stallion Studs EBF ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle (Div 2) (GBB Race) – 2m2f
KARL PHILIPPE was unbeaten in his first couple of bumpers but lacked conviction at his hurdles last time which cost him the race. He did really well to finish as close he did under the circumstances and remains with considerable potential in this sphere.
ASTIGAR has finished second in both outings for connections and was far from disgraced when just touched off on hurdling debut here last month. The step up in trip should prompt improvement and he’s feared most.
Selections: KARL PHILIPPE, ASTIGAR
14.40 – Watch On Racing TV Novices’ Chase (GBB Race) – 2m3f
An excellent race in prospect with CHANTRY HOUSE likely to start a warm favourite. He failed to stay at Cheltenham when only third last-time-out, but he was very impressive on chase debut and his third in last year’s Supreme is the strongest form on offer.
ELIXIR DE NUTZ was a top-class Grade 1-winning hurdler before injury struck and he wasn’t seen for twelve months. He shaped encouragingly on chase debut when second in December and looks the viable alternative with more improvement to come. As such he is included in today’s horse racing betting tips.
Selections: CHANTRY HOUSE, ELIXIR DE NUTZ
15.10 – Bet At racingtv.com Novices’ Hurdle (Listed) (GBB Race) – 2m
THE GLANCING QUEEN is surely the solid option here given how good she was in bumpers and has attained that level of form over hurdles thus far. Her only defeat so far in this sphere was in a Grade 1 and she ought to go close, at the very least, with proven soft ground form to her name.
BREFFNIBOY has improved out of all recognition for connections, winning four of his last five starts and has to be taken seriously.
Selections: THE GLANCING QUEEN, BREFFNIBOY
15.40 – Racing TV On Sky 426 Veterans’ Handicap Chase – 3m
YALLTARI has his first foray at a veterans’ event on the back of an eye-catching fourth at Ascot. He’s dropped to a really good mark of late and should be bang in contention in today’s meeting with track, trip and conditions to suit and goes into our horse racing tips.
LATE ROMANTIC shaped as though he’s still in good health when fifth in the Grade 3 Classic Handicap Chase at Warwick and won’t lack for stamina, therefore, he’s an each-way player.
Of the rest, ANOTHER VENTURE can get involved providing that latest fall hasn’t knocked his confidence.
Selections: YALLTARI, LATE ROMANTIC, ANOTHER VENTURE
16.10 – Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race) – 2m7f
A wide-open, top-class handicap in store in the final leg of today’s horse racing tips, but AGRAPART is certainly well-handicapped these days, loves heavy ground and has winning Grade 2 form on his CV. He was a good fourth when last in action at Cheltenham and is no forlorn hope to win this event despite the huge field.
DOES HE KNOW ran out at Newbury when seeking the four-timer but this easier and, providing that was a one-off, Kim Bailey’s six-year-old could be nicely treated on handicap debut and rates a fascinating contender.
Selections: AGRAPART, DOES HE KNOW
