Michigan could have more problems with the potential loss of Eli Brooks. One of the team’s leaders, Brooks hobbled off the court in UM’s last game. There have been no updates on his condition which is concerning itself. Brooks entered the final regular season game averaging 8.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists. He’s been the veteran leader on a relatively young club.
Without him, the Wolverines lost two of their three games this year.
Michigan could face off against Michigan State on Friday. If that is the case, this would mark the third time these in-state rivals meet in eight days. Each team earned a double-digit win on their home court. And with Brooks out, MSU does have a fighting chance.
Maryland is ranked just slightly higher than Michigan State by Sagarin, so there is a chance the Wolverines face off against the Terps on Friday.
Ohio State +685
Michigan State +1250
Penn State +13500
